CELIA MILLER:

We are very sorry to announce that Mrs.Celia Miller died on 11th December 2007 after a short illness. She was a leading family law practitioner in the region and will be greatly missed by all the Members and Staff at Fenners Chambers and by the legal profession throughout East Anglia.

 

NEW SENIOR CLERK:

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Green as Chambers' Senior Clerk. Paul  has extensive experience in clerking, orignally starting his career in 1974. In 1982 he became Senior Clerk at 3 Kings Bench Walk, before moving to become Senior Clerk at Chambers in Chelmsford in 1987. In 1997 Paul returned to Chambers in the Inner Temple, progressing to Chambers Director of one of the largest sets in the country.

Paul brings with him a wealth of experience, from both London and the provinces, which we are confident provides him with all the qualities needed to progress the ambitions of Fenners Chambers.

 

NEW TENANTS:

We are delighted to announce that Pearl Willis, formerly of Northampton Chambers, joined Fenners Chambers on 1st July 2008. Pearl has been a full time practising barrister since 1986 and her primary area of work is family law. However, she has also conducted many criminal trials involving charges of sexual assault against children and the making of indecent images of children, and has been led by Queen's counsel in over 20 cases involving charges of serious crime.

We are delighted that Debra Gold, formerly of Garden Court Chambers, London, joined Fenners Chambers on 1st May 2008. Debra has specialised in family law since she was called to the Bar in 1985. For further information, please see Debra's profile under our "Family Group".

We are also delighted to announce that Clive Sutton, formerly of Northampton Chambers, joined us on 12th May 2008. Clive is also a family law specialist with over 20 years experience. For further details, please see Clive's profile under our "Family Group".

Meryl Hughes has recently returned to practice at Fenners Chambers, following a career break to bring up her two children. Meryl is a family law specialist and has wide experience of Children Act applications, together with financial cases arising out of divorce, cohabitation and disputes relating to children.(for further details, please see her entry in our "Family Group")

Sarita Patil Woolhouse joined us on February 2nd 2008. Sarita specialises in international investment treaty and commercial arbitrations and, prior to joining Fenners, worked at the London offices of Herbert Smith & Watson and Farley & Williams, as well as practising as an advocate in India.
